Ramon de Oliveira
New York, NY
About Me
From the late 1980s to the early 2000s, Ramon de Oliveira established himself as a leader in the finance world by taking a senior position at JP Morgan and eventually achieving a key spot on their executive committee. He was an integral part of transitioning JP Morgan over to its current owner, Chase Manhattan Bank, and acquiring a major stake in American Century mutual funds.
De Oliveira also found time for other activities outside his career. He was heavily involved in cultural and civic endeavors, including founding the Louvre Museum Foundation in France that earned him a knighthood from the French government owing to his great efforts for his community and country.
For over 14 years now, he has been providing important advice and strategic guidance through RdeO Consulting LLC - helping people to improve their portfolios while also serving on numerous company boards such as AXA Group, Hartford Insurance Company, Kaufmann Foundation etc., or advising entities such as Antin Infrastructure Partners and Investment Committee of Polish-American Freedom Foundation.
Further, de Oliveira took up teaching roles at Columbia University and New York University where he served as an adjunct professor in finance. He also dedicated a good amount of time to charity work with organizations like the Kauffman Foundation and celebrating Argentinian dance form tango with productions. In this way, de Oliveira continues to make a growing mark for the better in his community.
